Presenting this exceptional 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Pro Touring Restomod, one of only four custom builds from a private collection. This no-expense-spared build showcases top-tier craftsmanship, high-performance engineering, and meticulous attention to detail throughout.
At its core is a newly built 540 cubic inch engine producing approximately 600 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed TREMEC transmission and hydraulic clutch. The Holley fuel-injected engine was expertly built by D’Amico Custom Racing Engines (NY), starting with a Dart block and Canfield aluminum heads. With only 865 miles since completion, the drivetrain remains fresh and highly refined.
The engine is presented in an immaculate bay and is equipped with Flowmaster headers, an electronic distributor, dual electric fans, an aluminum radiator, and a Powermaster alternator. Steering is handled by a PSC steering box, while braking performance is delivered by Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes. A 12-bolt rear end with posi-traction and 3.73 Eaton gears ensures power is effectively transferred to the road.
The body is in excellent condition, featuring solid panels with precise fit and alignment, all supported by a powder-coated frame. The paint finish is outstanding and complements the car’s aggressive yet refined presence.
Inside, the custom TMI vinyl interior features bucket seats with inserts, complemented by a full set of AutoMeter custom gauges, a Grant steering wheel, and an Ididit tilt column. Additional features include Classic Air conditioning and heat, power windows, and a clean radio-delete setup for a focused driving experience.
The trunk area is currently in the process of being completed and houses both the battery and a kill switch. Underneath, the car is equally impressive, featuring 3-inch Borla racing mufflers that deliver an incredible sound, QA1 coilover shocks, Hotchkis sway bars, and a brand-new fuel tank.
This Chevelle rides on Hi Ho tires mounted on polished American Racing aluminum wheels, sized 245/40ZR18 in the front and 275/40ZR18 in the rear, providing both performance and stance.
Meticulously maintained and always garage-kept, this is a truly remarkable Pro Touring build that offers an exceptional driving experience along with show-quality presentation.
